Mit diesem Tool kann eine XPlanGML-Datei in QGIS mit vordefinierter Layerreihenfolge und Styling importiert werden, z.B. - zur Visualisierung - zur Qualitätssicherung - oder auch zum Erstellen eines QGIS-Server-Projektes, etwa um einen WMS eines Flächennutzungsplans zu veröffentlichen. Der XPLAN-Reader setzt die Installation mindestens der Version 3.26.0 des OpenSource-GIS „QGIS“ voraus und ist dann innerhalb von QGIS als Erweiterung aus dem offiziellen QGIS-Plugin-Repository verwendbar. Die Aktualisierung der Erweiterung findet bei Bedarf statt.
