Der Geodatenkatalog.de ist das zentrale Metadaten-Auskunftssystem über die Geodaten und Geodienste der Geodateninfrastruktur Deutschland (GDI-DE). Die technische Umsetzung des Geodatenkatalog.de basiert auf einer Vernetzung der Metadatenkataloge innerhalb der GDI-DE. Innerhalb Europas ist der Geodatenkatalog.de an das Geoportal der europäischen Geodateninfrastruktur INSPIRE angeschlossen und wird so auch im europäischen Kontext recherchierbar.
